Are You Primed to Paint?

Are you pumped for painting season? Or should we say primed?

Depending on where you live, it is right around the corner, or maybe it’s a little further away. You can’t believe what groundhogs say, anyway.

But what you can do is make sure you are prepared when the time comes and when you finally get the right weather – even if it’s just a day or two, you don’t want to waste time running to the store to get what you need. Have your primers and paints ready to go when the time and weather are right and get moving.

But we want to make sure you are in a prime position and are primed and ready to go.

So here is a primer on our paints as we are about to havesome special deals on all our paint products from March 1 to April 15.

The first thing you should know? Ultra Pro·Max paints are better. With 4x the solid content as economy cans, you get more paint per can.

Ultra Pro·Max is a superior performance enamel system. In harsh Florida outdoor weather testing against well-known brands, as well as in salt spray testing using the ASTM Test Method B-117, Ultra Pro·Max withstood the tests and proved to be superior.

Ultra Pro·Max is also better for the environment, with less VOCs (volatile organic compounds) released into the air, keeping you and your crew out of harm’s way. And because our paints have more solids, it means fewer cans in the landfill.

We have several primers you can use, too. We have a fast-drying sandable primer, a self-etching primer, a rust-suppressing and rust-converting primers, a weld-thru primer, a zinc-phosphate primer and Rust Master Plus™.

We’ll give you a primer – really just a tease – on each of these, but to learn more you can click the link or call your Rep.

Sandable primer – Modified acrylic resin system provides increased performance and durability. Can be wet sanded or dry sanded 15 minutes after application.

Self-etching primer – This 2.5% zinc-phosphate formula provides superior adhesion to all types of metal, aluminum and other prepared surfaces. The enamel-based self-etching primer chemically bonds to metal for maximum protection.

Zinc-phosphate primer – Superior protection against rust and corrosion. Chemically bonds to metal for maximum protection and water resistance. Ideal for use on aluminum or any other bare metal.

Weld-thru primer – A specialty weld-through primer for spot coverage of dissimilar metals that need to be welded and to provide protection to areas that are not accessible after welding. Can be top coated. Dry film is 90% pigment, which results in less smoke and electrode wear when welding, and cuts faster than 100% zinc-rich coatings. High corrosion protection.

Rust suppressing primerProvides positive rust protection by sealing pores and scratches to provide a uniform base for all paints.

Rust Master Plus™Converts rust to a tough and durable polymeric coating and applies a primer in one step. Resistant to abrasion and gasoline. Protective black coating resists moisture and prevents future rust. Can be applied to any iron or steel surface, including vehicles, trailers, fences, railings, sheet metal, storage tanks, etc.

So, if this has you primed to paint, make sure to go with the best and get it from us. Just click to Find a Rep.
