Rethink How You Cut Holes in Steel

Written by Kimball Midwest | September 24, 2019
Cutting holes in plate steel is by no means a simple task. You could use a drill bit, but why work harder and take more time to get the job done? Coventional hole saws work, too, but they wear out quickly.

Fortunately, the Roto-Kut™ Hole Cutter is designed to work faster, last longer and reduce the effort it takes to cut through steel. If you’ve never seen the Roto-Kut™ in action, watch the video below. The magic begins at 1:09.

Notice how quickly the Roto-Kut™ cuts through the steel, leaving a clean, burr-free hole. It has a lot of other great features, as well:
  • Cuts sheet metal, metal plate, pipe, tubing and plastics up to ¼” thick (sizes 5/16 – ¾) or up to ½” thick (sizes above ¾).
  • Lasts 300 times longer than hole saws.
  • Cuts 3-5 times faster than drill bits or hole saws.
  • Ejects the cut slug automatically when the hole is completed.
  • Requires only a fraction of the power and effort needed for drill bits.
If you think that’s impressive, we have a Roto-Kut that cuts even larger holes in thicker steel. Check out the Roto-Kut Ultra™.

Roto-Kut Ultra™ also has some amazing features.
  • Cuts sheet metal, steel, stainless steel, iron, cast iron, aluminum, copper, alloys, plate, pipe, tubing, fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) and plastics up to 1” thick.
  • Lasts up to 10 times longer than heavy-duty drill bits and 500 times longer than hole saws.
  • Cuts up to 10 times faster than a drill bit.
  • Ejects the cut slug automatically when the hole is completed.
  • Can be used in lighter, lower power tools than twist drills.
Did you see the slug ejection above? It may go flying, and the metal is extremely hot. Make sure to use caution.
