When it comes to organizing or keeping your fasteners organized, you might get a headache. There is no need for further worry. Kimball Midwest is here to help you stay organized and pick the best fastener assortments for your shop.

If you haven’t already heard, Kimball Midwest has added Shop Setups to its product line. These pre-selected groups of fastener assortments and items are designed to capture essential products you need for a variety of tasks. Shop Setups provide the best value for the product you are getting. They come with racks, stands and bin toppers, everything you need in one setup.

We have two styles of our Shop Setups depending on the type of fastener. The larger style includes 80-hole bins, eight drawers and related storage equipment, and our smaller bolt-on style that include 40-hole bins, four drawers and racks and stands.

Any shop will benefit from a Shop Setup. However, shops require different types of fasteners depending on applications. Here are the Shop Setups we offer according to fastener applications:

The most popular shop setup is our Grade 8 Shop Setup (40-301-0). It is best for high-stress applications such as heavy machinery with a minimum tensile strength of 150,000 PSI. This includes an 80-hole bin of ¼”-3/4” of KM-USA Grade 8 hex head cap screws and eight drawers, which include a variety of Grade 8 and related fasteners ranging from socket set screws to self-drilling, cotter pins, lock nuts and more. They also come with racks, stands and a bin topper.

Like our Grade 8 Shop Setup, our Metric 10.9 Shop Setups are best used for high-stress applications using metric fasteners, and they have a minimum tensile strength of 150,800 PSI. Our Metric 10.9 Shop Setup (40-301-2) include an 80-hole bin of M6-M20 Metric 10.9 hex head cap screws; eight drawers that include a variety of drawer assortments, such as socket set screws, self-drilling, cotter pins and lock nuts; and comes with racks and stands.

For smaller shops or for a mix of fastener applications, we also offer our Bolt-On option in Metric 10.9 (40-301-5), which includes a 40-hole bin of M6-M12 Metric 10.9 hex head cap screws plus four drawers and comes with racks, stands and bin toppers.

Our Grade 5 Shop Setup (40-301-1) is best used for machinery and automotive applications. This setup includes an 80-hole bin of 1/4”- 5/8” Grade 5 hex head cap screws with a minimum tensile strength of 120,000 PSI. Also, it has eight drawers that includes a variety of drawer assortments such as socket set screws, self-drilling, cotter pins and lock nuts, and comes with racks, stands and a bin topper.

Stainless steel fastener applications are best for high corrosion environments such as marine, agriculture and food production. Our stainless steel Shop Setup (40-301-4) offers an 80-hole bin of both 18-8 and 316 stainless steel hex head cap screws, nuts, flats and locks, and eight drawers ranging from socket set screws to self-drilling, cotter pins, lock nuts and more. It also comes with racks, stands and a bin topper.

For add-ons or smaller shops, we offer a bolt-on option for stainless steel (40-301-7), which includes a 40-hole bin of 18-8 stainless steel hex head cap screws, four drawers, racks and stands.
