’Tis The Season for Winter Products

Written by Kimball Midwest | December 12, 2024

Every season requires different items around the shop, and perhaps no season has more specific products than winter.

As temperatures drop and snow and ice appear, we’ve rounded up these products that are likely to be on call in many shops during the next few months.

Liquid Ice Melt

Available in 1-gallon and 5-gallon containers, this ice melt is effective down to -60°F to melt snow and ice on a variety of surfaces.

You can use it as a pre-treatment to prevent the bonding of snow and ice to pavement and make mechanical cleaning more efficient. It also improves performance and longevity of rock salt and sand when applied before their use.

Interior Surface Cleaning Supplies

When customers and employees track the outdoors inside or into vehicles this winter, our selection of interior cleaners is there for you. Our Magnum Hi-Power Carpet Spotter, Vinylene Vinyl Restorer & Protectant, Ultra Vinyl Restorer Towels and Fabri-Tex Fabric Cleaner combine for reliable cleaning to keep vehicles and other interiors looking their best.

Ultra Pro•Max Fast-Dry

Our line of Ultra Pro•Max Fast-Dry Spray Paints provides an improved solvent-to-solids balance for faster drying times. This is ideal when faster drying is critical to put equipment back in service.

Rubberized Undercoat

Ultra Smooth Rubberized Undercoat is the ideal solution for corrosion and impact protection on over-the-road and off-road vehicles. It protects against moisture, road salt, rust and corrosion and remains flexible, even in cold temperatures.

Winter Grease

Ultra Guard 2 Extreme Winter Grease deposits a layer of chemically bonded Ultra Guard 2 on metal surfaces to drastically reduce wear, heat and friction on moving parts. It pumps easily in cold winter temperatures to provide full lubrication and protection.

It’s also available in a 35-pound bucket.

Wire Wheels and Brushes

Our selection of wire wheels and brushes can be used to clean rust and grime from metal parts after they’ve been exposed to winter conditions. Also, don’t forget to stock up on grinding wheels to repair plow blades, salt spreaders and other winter equipment.

Whether the temperature is over 100 degrees, below zero or anywhere in between, your Kimball Midwest sales representative can connect you with the products you need to keep your shop moving. If you’re not yet a Kimball Midwest customer, we’d be happy to help you
