Even though National Safety Month has come to an end, it doesn’t mean you can just relax and take it easy when it comes to safety in your shop.

You know, as well as we do, safety is on you as a shop owner or manager, but that doesn’t mean you have to do it alone.

Safety comes down to proper training, too. Training the people who work for you to put their tools, parts, hoses, etc., away properly is a big part of keeping people safe. If a worker just throws a wrench on the floor when they are done, you know what’s going to happen. Someone is going to trip on it and get injured. That will result in not only an injury, but lost time on the job and slower work in your shop.

We recently wrote on our blog that slips, trips and falls were one of the most often reported on-the-job injuries, costing businesses an average of 14 days of missed work.

And we know that concerns our customers.

We have surveyed many customers extensively, and one of the main issues they’ve said they would like us to resolve for them is giving them better storage for more bulky items.

One of the main culprits of being a bulky item is hydraulic hose. Let’s face it, hoses are heavy, don’t bend exceptionally well by hand and if you push them into a corner, they are definitely coming back out.

Some people throw them under bins or on top of them, but it is only a matter of time before they rear their ugly heads and get tied up in someone’s feet. Then you have a problem.

At Kimball Midwest, we listen to customers very closely.

So, we have plenty of storage options when it comes to hydraulic hoses:

638 – Two-Compartment Units

743 – Hydraulic Hose Cabinet End Unit

744 – Hydraulic Hose Cabinet One-Compartment Unit

We also have some complete setups:
